TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 1 -- Florida State University issued the following news release:
Throughout his career, John Barnhill has felt called to do one thing: help people.
Barnhill joined Florida State's academic admissions team in December 1978 and has supported thousands of students as they made one of the most important decisions of their lives. After 48 years at FSU, a funny thing has started to happen: Some of the students he's meeting look very familiar.
"I'm serving the children of students that I admitted," Barnhill said. "That's special."
