NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 26 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
KNOX COUNTY -An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment of a former Knoxville police officer.
In June, at the request of 6th Judicial District Attorney General Charme Allen, TBI agents began investigating allegations involving Shigeki Nagamoto (DOB: 11/19/87), who was employed by the Knoxville Police Department at the time. During the investigation, agents gathered evidence indicating that in December 2024, while at the scene of a reported death, Nagamoto exposed and inappropriately touched part of a deceased woman's body.
