FOREST SERVICE ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: SPECIAL AREAS; ROADLESS AREA CONSERVATION

WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 -- Forest Service has issued a proposed rule called: Special Areas; Roadless Area Conservation.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Sept. 11 by Stephen Alexander Vaden, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Summary: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA or Department) is extending the public comment period for the proposed rule titled Special Areas; Roadless Area Conservation, published in the Federal Registeron August 20, 2026 (91 FR 53827).
