Today, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) applauded the Department of the Interior's announcement (https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/interior-announces-889-million-investment-western-water-infrastructure-through) of a $100 million investment to repair the Gering-Fort Laramie Canal. This follows Fischer's successful effort (https://www.fischer.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news?ID=17E784BA-DBDD-456A-8A82-DB28273EF98F) through the Fiscal Year (FY) 26 Appropriations process to secure $14.6 million to assist in the restoration of two irrigation tunnels on the Gering-Fort Laramie Canal.
