FERC AND NRC COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS GRID RELIABILITY, NUCLEAR POWER, AND CYBERSECURITY AT JOINT MEETING

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued the following news release:

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will hold a joint public meeting at NRC Headquarters to discuss current issues, including grid reliability, managing load increases, operating and new nuclear power plants, and cyber security.

Staff from both agencies and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation will brief the NRC and FERC Commissioners at the meeting, continuing a tradition of regular joint meetings between the two agencies going back two decades.
