FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: BUS TESTING: UPDATES TO BUS TESTING PROGRAM PROCEDURES AND POLICIES, CLARIFICATIONS, TECHNICAL ADJUSTMENTS, AND OTHER PROGRAM UPDATES

WASHINGTON, June 26 -- Federal Transit Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Bus Testing: Updates to Bus Testing Program Procedures and Policies, Clarifications, Technical Adjustments, and Other Program Updates.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on June 26 by Jamie Pfister, Acting Executive Director.

Summary: The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is proposing amendments to its bus testing regulation. The proposed changes will improve the efficiency of the testing program for stakeholders, enhance the value of bus testing reports for consumers, and assist in removing outdated test reports.
