Washington, Aug. 13 -- Congressman Juan Ciscomani issued the following press release:

U.S. Representative Juan Ciscomani today met with Marana Mayor Jon Post and other town leaders to discuss $3 million in federal funding he has preliminarily secured for a project to improve an interchange that is often backed up with traffic.

This funding will be used to smooth the flow of traffic getting on or off Interstate 10 at exit 236, one of the primary entry points into one of the fastest growing towns in the 6th Congressional District. The project also calls for two additional lanes to be created under the interstate, combining the on and off ramps with the frontage roads and extending Tangerine Farms Road to connect with the interchange.
