WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 26 by Paul R. Bernado, Acting Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 757-200 and -300 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by reported crack findings on airplanes with scimitar blended winglets. This AD requires inspections for cracks, and repair as applicable. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
