WASHINGTON, May 14 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Regional Airplanes.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on May 14 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Regional Model ATR42-200, -300, and -320 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of an occurrence of a flap asymmetry detector and flap interconnection shaft having worn splines and not engaging mechanically.
