WASHINGTON, March 13 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Various Helicopters.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on March 13 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for various helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of a loss of tail rotor authority due to auxiliary system fluid loss caused by a yaw pedal damper housing fatigue fracture and attachment bolt fatigue fracture.
