WASHINGTON, May 20 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 20 by Lona C. Saccomando, Acting Deputy Director, Integrated Certificate Management Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A330-841 and Model A330-941 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of crack findings on the sloping rib. This proposed AD would require a repetitive inspection of the external surface of each sloping rib and each slat 1 inboard seal, and applicable corrective actions.
