FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES; AIRBUS HELICOPTERS

WASHINGTON, May 15 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Helicopters.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 15 by Paul R. Bernado, Acting Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Helicopters Model AS350B, AS350BA, AS350B1, AS350B2, AS350B3, AS350D, EC130B4, and EC130T2 helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of an incorrectly installed engine flange on the main gear box (MGB) engine coupling.
