WASHINGTON - The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs successfully advanced U.S. Senator Joni Ernst's (R-Iowa) bipartisan billrequiring the U.S. Postal Service to designate a single, unique ZIP code for 83 specific communities across the country. The bill passed by a vote of 10-3 and now advances to the full Senate for consideration.
