WASHINGTON, April 6 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Protection of Stratospheric Ozone: Listing of Substitutes Under the Significant New Alternatives Policy Program in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Fire Suppression; Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 6 by Lee Zeldin, Administrator.
Summary: Pursuant to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Significant New Alternatives Policy program, this action proposes to list the refrigerant 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropene, also known as HFO-1234yf, as acceptable, subject to use conditions, in the motor vehicle air conditioning end-use for retrofit of heavy-duty pickup trucks and c...
