Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to act in accordance with Ohio EPA's November 14, 2025, request to remove the air pollution nuisance rule (ANR) from the Ohio State Implementation Plan (SIP). The EPA is proposing to find that the Ohio SIP contains adequate control requirements and enforcement measures to maintain air quality in the State without the ANR.
