WASHINGTON, April 29 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Air Plan Approval; Maryland; Reasonably Available Control Technology for Municipal Waste Combustors.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 29 by Amy Van Blarcom-Lackey, Regional Administrator, Region III.

Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve state implementation plan (SIP) revisions submitted by the State of Maryland. The SIP revisions consist of regulations that implement statewide reasonably available control technology (RACT) requirements by limiting air emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NO X) from municipal waste combustors (MWCs) in Maryland.
