WASHINGTON, May 28 -- Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed rule called: Air Plan Approval; Maryland; Reasonably Available Control Technology for Municipal Waste Combustors; Extension of Comment Period.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 28 by Amy Van Blarcom-Lackey, Regional Administrator, Region III.
Summary: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is extending the comment period for a proposed rule that published April 29, 2026. The current comment period for the proposed rule was scheduled to close on May 29, 2026. The EPA is extending the comment period for the proposed action to June 12, 2026.
