WASHINGTON, April 28 -- Drug Enforcement Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Schedules of Controlled Substances: Rescheduling of Marijuana.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on April 28 by Todd Blanche, Acting Attorney General.

Summary: This is notice that the Drug Enforcement Administration ("DEA") will hold a hearing with respect to the proposed rescheduling of marijuana into schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act beginning June 29, 2026.
