BEAUMONT, Texas, Sept. 10 -- Lamar University issued the following news release:
Lamar University's Department of Theatre and Dance will present Tim Blake Nelson's "Eye of God," directed by Caitlin Parker, Sept. 10-20 in the Studio Theatre.
Set in a small Oklahoma town, the psychological drama follows Ainsley, a young woman who marries Jack, a recently released convict she has corresponded with for three years. Jack has never told her why he went to prison, and his newfound faith leads him to believe Providence brought them together.
But when Jack is required to wear an electronic surveillance device and his parole officer reveals the circumstances behind his imprisonment, Ainsley begins questioning the man she married.
