DEPARTMENT OF STATE ISSUES RULE: PUBLIC ACCESS TO INFORMATION

WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- Department Of State has issued a rule called: Public Access to Information.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on Sept. 21 by Alice M. Kottmyer, Attorney-Adviser, Office of the Legal Adviser, U.S. Department of State.

Summary: The Department of State revises its regulations governing the availability to the public of information that is under the control of the Department. This rule reflects changes in the Department's organization and procedures since the last revision of the Department's regulations on public access to information, including relating to the use of email to submit requests for information under this part.
