DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ISSUES RULE: FINAL WAIVERS AND EXTENSIONS OF THE PROJECT PERIODS WITH FUNDING FOR THE NATIVE AMERICAN CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM (NACTEP)

WASHINGTON, July 24 -- Department Of Education has issued a rule called: Final Waivers and Extensions of the Project Periods With Funding for the Native American Career and Technical Education Program (NACTEP).

The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 24 by Casey Sacks, Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education.

Summary: The Secretary waives the requirements in the Education Department General Administrative Regulations that generally prohibit project periods exceeding five years and project period extensions involving the obligation of additional Federal funds.
