WASHINGTON, Oct. 9 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for XXXXXX (insert district) issued the following press release:

DAVENPORT, Iowa - A Davenport man was sentenced on October 8, 2026, to five years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon.

According to public court documents and evidence presented at sentencing, Terry Lee Chance, Jr., 33, drove through Davenport in possession of a .40 caliber pistol with an obliterated serial number. Officers with the Davenport Police Department recovered the pistol during a traffic stop of the vehicle Chance drove.

After completing his term of imprisonment, Chance will be required to serve a three-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal ...
