Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO) recently voted and secured authorization for millions of dollars in federal funding to improve water infrastructure and help prevent flooding in Colorado.
The House of Representatives recently passed the Water Resources Development Act. Included in the bill was authorization for $15.6 million championed by Congressman Crow for the construction of a new storm sewer line and additional stormwater inlets around 14th Avenue and Yosemite Street in Aurora to better capture stormwater during large downpours, helping to prevent flooding on at least three roads in the city-11th Avenue, Alton Street, and 14th Avenue.
