WASHINGTON, March 17 -- Sen. Mike Crapo issued the following news release:

U.S. Senator for Idaho Mike Crapo joined U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-Louisiana) and 15 additional Senate Republican colleagues in penning a letter to urge the U.S. Department of Labor to protect American workers from the Biden Administration's disastrous proposed heat rule.

The Biden-era proposed rule would mandate all businesses, no matter their safety record, size, location or industry, comply with onerous requirements on safety staffing, recordkeeping and mandatory breaks at high-heat triggers that can create dangerous hazards for some workers. The one-size-fits-all proposal is inefficient, dangerous, threatens job opportunities and hurts local businesses.
