Today, U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) visited the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's (LVMPD) Air Support Unit to celebrate the $1 million in federal funding they secured for the unit in the FY2026 government funding law. LVMPD is the only agency in Southern Nevada with a full-scale manned helicopter unit, which assists with routine patrols, search & rescue operations, and security for big events.
