Today, U.S. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.), Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), and Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) released a statement following the Trump Administration's cruel and indefensible decision (https://www.npr.org/2026/04/25/nx-s1-5798943/justice-department-makes-it-easier-to-deport-those-with-daca-status) to make it easier to deport DACA recipients. The new precedent published (https://www.justice.gov/eoir/media/1437801/dl?inline) by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) says being a DACA recipient is not enough reason to provide relief from deportation.
