Washington, D.C. -U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) introduced the Strengthening EFIN Confirmation for User Reliability and Electronic (SECURE) Tax Filing Act to help the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) crack down on scammers who are stealing sensitive taxpayer information from tax professionals.
There is a growing trend of scammers targeting tax professionals.
