WASHINGTON, July 22 -- Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a rule called: Revocation of Obsolete Rules Regarding Infant Bouncer Seats and Stationary Activity Centers.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 22 by Alberta E. Mills, Secretary, Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Summary: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) is reviewing its regulations to reduce regulatory burdens and costs. Pursuant to this review, CPSC has identified two rules concerning infant bouncer seats and stationary activity centers that are now obsolete because those products are subject to newer, more comprehensive mandatory safety standards issued by the Commission.
