Washington, April 24 -- Rep. John B. Larson issued the following press release:

Today, Reps. John B. Larson (CT-01), Joe Courtney (CT-02), Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), Jim Himes (CT-04), and Jahana Hayes (CT-05), and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, announced over $9.5 million in Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding to Connecticut. This is the final allocation for Fiscal Year 2026. Connecticut's total LIHEAP allocation is $90,222,435. The Trump Administration's proposed budget for next year includes the elimination of the LIHEAP program, which would raise energy costs for 6 million households.
