Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02), U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), Congressman John Larson (CT-01), Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04), and Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05) announced over $75.3 million in Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding to Connecticut for FY27 allocated through the Continuing Resolution. This funding comes after the Trump Administration's proposed FY27 budget included the elimination of the LIHEAP program and as Connecticut families are dealing with skyrocketing costs to heat their homes due to the war in Iran.
