Today, Congresswoman Norma Torres (CA-35) joined City of Ontario Mayor Paul Leon and local leaders to celebrate the delivery of $1,000,000 in federal funding for the Vista Verde II Affordable Housing Development, a critical project that will expand access to affordable housing for working families in the City of Ontario. Torres, a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, obtained the funding as a community project in the fiscal year 2026 appropriations process.
The funding will support the development of a 150-unit affordable housing community on Holt Boulevard, providing a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes.
