Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05) today announced her nominees for appointment to the United States service academies for the Class of 2030. The 25 local high school students and their families were honored by Congresswoman Scanlon during a recognition ceremony on Sunday, February 15, at her district office in Chester, PA.
Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.
