Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) today announced that the Town of Kearny has been awarded $125,000 to support the Kearny Prevention Coalition and its work to prevent substance use.
The federal award comes through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Drug-Free Communities Support Program. The funding will support the Kearny Prevention Coalition Drug-Free Communities Support Project over the coming year. The grant is a continuation of federal support for the program, whose current project period runs through September 2027.
