Today, U.S. Representative Beth Van Duyne (TX-24), a member of the Ways and Means Committee celebrated the House passage of H.R. 6903 - Ensuring Children Receive Support Act. Working with Chairman Smith (MO-08) and Representative Panetta (CA-19), the bill has officially passed the House by unanimous consent.
The Ensuring Children Receive Support Act strengthens the enforcement of the Passport Denial Program (https://acf.gov/css/training-technical-assistance/overview-passport-denial-program) and requires the Secretary of State to revoke any U.S. passport issued to an individual exceeding $2,500 in outstanding child support payments.
