CONGRESSMAN VICENTE GONZALEZ ANNOUNCES $2.5 MILLION IN FEDERAL FUNDING FOR CITY OF BROWNSVILLE PUBLIC WORKS

Brownsville, Texas, Sept. 9 -- Congressman Vicente Gonzalez issued the following press release:

Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) announced $2.5 million in federal funding for the City of Brownsville Public Works Department to support the design and construction oftheMarina Industrial Park, including roadway, water,sewerand stormwater infrastructure. The funds are delivered through the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) and estimated to create 590 new jobs and leverage over $18 million in private investment. The total projected cost of this project is $4,395,000.
