Today, the U.S. House passed H.R. 6644, the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, a monumental step towards addressing the national housing crisis. This bipartisan, bicameral legislation alleviates the housing shortage by removing unnecessary regulations on new home construction and community banking operations.
This legislation also includes Congressman Tim Moore's Tailored Regulatory Updates for Supervisory Testing Act of 2025 (TRUST Act), which he introduced last year to modernize outdated asset limits and ease regulations on well-managed community banks.
