CONGRESSMAN TIM MOORE INTRODUCES LET AMERICANS BUY WITH EXPLICIT LABELING (LABEL) ACT

Washington, Sept. 25 -- Congressman Tim Moore issued the following press release:

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Yesterday, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) introduced H.R.10580, theLet Americans Buy with Explicit Labeling Act (LABEL) Act,to require that country of origin and production method (wild or farm-raised) labels for fish be clearly displayed on the front of consumer packagesthrough amending the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946.

"Every American deserves to know where their food comes from," said Congressman Tim Moore. "The LABEL Act helps ensure consumers have clear information about where their seafood was caught or raised and how it was produced, right on the front of the package."
