Congressman Shri Thanedar (MI-13) introduced the Stop ICE Price Gouging Act and released the following statement:

"Private detention companies should not be able to charge people in detention outrageous prices for basic necessities," said Rep. Thanedar. "People should not have to pay unreasonable prices for everyday items like soap, toothpaste, or snacks. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with dignity."
