The Permian Basin Honor Flight traveled to Washington, DC, last week to recognize and honor local veterans for their service and sacrifice to our nation. The trip provided these heroes with the opportunity to visit the very memorials built in their honor and reflect on their legacy alongside fellow veterans and volunteers.
Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) proudly welcomed the group at the start of their visit, greeting them at the World War II Memorial on the National Mall. He was joined by Midland Mayor Lori Blong at the Memorial to lay a wreath, personally thank the veterans for their service, and share brief remarks.
