Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17), an original cosponsor, voted in support of the Stop Insider Trading Act, bipartisan legislation to prohibit Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children from purchasing individual stocks while serving in office. The bill passed the House with a vote of 231 to 198, and now heads to the Senate for consideration.
