Washington, July 21 -- Congressman Steve Cohen issued the following press release:
WASHINGTON - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, today denounced the immigration policies of the Trump administration including a proposal to deny legal representation to children facing deportation.
He said President Trump should resign.
In his remarks at the markup, he said in part:
"It's hard to imagine we're sitting here and having discussions about giving children legal representation when they're subject to deportation.
