Today, Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez (FL-28) announced that he has withdrawn as Co-Chair of the Congressional Friends of Spain Caucus following the Spanish government's actions undermining our bilateral relationship & its increasingly hostile actions against America's closest ally, the Jewish State of Israel.
In a letter to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Congressman Gimenez said Spain's recent policies against Israel and the Israel Defense Forces are incompatible with the democratic values the caucus was created to promote.
