Today, Congressman Burchett's (TN-02) bill, the Government Audit and Accountability of Federally Funded State-Administered Programs Act, passed the US House of Representatives.
The bill, co-led with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), will establish a program in the office of the Comptroller General (GAO) to produce a recurring assessment of federally funded State-administered programs. This assessment will identify programs and administrative practices most vulnerable to the abuse of federal tax dollars.
