AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 15 -- The Texas General Land Office issued the following news release:
Today, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., announced that the Texas General Land Office (GLO) is launching a new effort to explore the development of geothermal energy, small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs), and natural gas plants on state lands, opening the door to new sources of dispatchable, dependable, and dominant power in Texas.
As part of this initiative, GLO is opening the Request for Information (RFI) process to qualified companies, developers, technology providers, energy producers, and other interested parties regarding opportunities to develop these next-generation energy resources.
