WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Criminal Division issued the following news release:
A federal jury convicted a Colorado man yesterday for conspiring with his wife to film themselves sexually abusing a prepubescent child in Mexico and for advertising the videos for sale online.
"Alekzander Bywater left the United States for Mexico and preyed upon the most vulnerable among us, a young child," said Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva for the Justice Department's Criminal Division. "Child exploitative hands-on violations are among the most depraved.
