COAST GUARD ISSUES RULE: SECURITY ZONE; SANTA MONICA BAY, LOS ANGELES, CA

WASHINGTON, June 15 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Security Zone; Santa Monica Bay, Los Angeles, CA.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on June 15 by S.L. Crecy, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Los Angeles-Long Beach.

Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary security zone for navigable waters offshore of Los Angeles International Airport. The security zone is necessary to ensure public safety and prevent sabotage or terrorist acts near the airport during the 2026 World Cup in Los Angeles, CA. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Los Angeles-Long Beach.
