WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Safety Zone; Hurricanes, Tropical Storms, and Severe Weather Events in the Sector Mobile Captain of the Port Zone.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 28 by M.O. Vega, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Sector Mobile.
Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a safety zone in the navigable waters within the Sector Mobile Captain of the Port (COTP) zone, to be enforced in the event of hurricanes, tropical storms, and other severe weather events.
