COAST GUARD ISSUES RULE: SAFETY ZONE; FIREWORKS DISPLAYS WITHIN THE USCG EAST DISTRICT (FORMERLY FIFTH COAST GUARD DISTRICT); THE WHARF, WASHINGTON, DC

WASHINGTON, May 6 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Safety Zone; Fireworks Displays Within the USCG East District (Formerly Fifth Coast Guard District); The Wharf, Washington, DC.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on May 6 by Patrick C. Burkett, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Maryland-National Capital Region.

Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for a fireworks display at "The Wharf DC, " in Washington, DC, to provide for the safety of life on navigable waterways during this event.
