WASHINGTON, July 7 -- Coast Guard has issued a rule called: Safety Zone; Corpus Christi Ship Channel, Corpus Christi, TX.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on July 7 by T.H. Bertheau, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Sector Corpus Christi.

Summary: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for certain navigable waters of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, in Port Aransas near beacons "9" and "10." The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by an underwater obstruction.
