COAST GUARD ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: SAFETY ZONES; ANNUAL EVENTS IN THE CAPTAIN OF THE PORT EASTERN GREAT LAKES ZONE

WASHINGTON, May 27 -- Coast Guard has issued a proposed rule called: Safety Zones; Annual Events in the Captain of the Port Eastern Great Lakes Zone.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on May 27 by M.J. Walter, Captain, U.S. Coast Guard, Captain of the Port Sector Eastern Great Lakes.

Summary: The Coast Guard is proposing to amend existing regulations relating to safety zones that occur annually in Captain of The Port Zone Eastern Great Lakes. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters. We invite your comments on this proposed rulemaking.
